A brief period of strong winds occurred across portions of eastern New York during the evening hours on March 22, 2025 in the wake of a passing cold front. Wind gusts between 40 and 50 mph occurred in some areas with a peak gust of 52 mph at the New York State Mesonet site near Schodack.
