Event narrative
A trained spotter just east of Pine Bluffs and the Nebraska and Wyoming border reported 1 inch diameter hail along Interstate 80.
Wider weather episode
Widely scattered thunderstorms developed over the eastern plains of southeast Wyoming and gradually turned severe as they approached the Nebraska border. Large hail and a few wind gusts over 60 mph were recorded.
