Union Pacific Railroad site near Dix Nebraska reported a maximum wind gust of 60 mph with a severe thunderstorm.

Wider weather episode

Widely scattered thunderstorms developed over the eastern plains of southeast Wyoming and gradually turned severe as they approached the Nebraska border. Large hail and a few wind gusts over 60 mph were recorded.
