A fast moving clipper system crossed the region through the 1st...exiting across the Maritimes that night. Snow developed across the region through the early morning hours of the 1st in advance of the low. Snow then persisted through the afternoon into the evening. Storm total snow accumulations across northern Maine generally ranged from 4 to 6 inches...with local totals to around 8 inches. Snow totals decreased rapidly across central portions of the region.
