Event narrative

A part of FM 2400 was reported flooded out by at least a foot of water. A few vehicles were unable to cross the road at either end. The time is estimated from radar.

Wider weather episode

A broad trough across the western United States and a dryline across the Permian Basin and Stockton Plateau resulted in afternoon thunderstorms. Several severe right-moving supercells occurred over the Stockton Plateau, with left-moving supercells moving across western portions of the Permian Basin. In addition, a localized dry microburst resulted in intense wind gusts of 100 MPH or greater near Midland International Air & Space Port.
