A trained spotter shared video of a large plume of dust moving into Carlsbad in association with thunderstorm outflow. The Carlsbad Caverns ASOS station also reported significantly reduced visibility. Time is estimated.

There was continued broad troughing across the western United States with a dryline across portions of the Permian Basin south across the Davis Mountains. Splitting supercells occurred with severe weather and blowing dust from thunderstorm outflow across portions of Southeast New Mexico and the Stockton Plateau.
