The Florida Forest Service reported that the

Cowpen 2 wildfire near County Road 305 to

the west of State Road 11 was currently 250

acres with 90% containment.

Drier conditions enabled several fires to form across the state. This is the annual peak in local wildfire activity with drier conditions trailing the spring green up and active afternoon and evening sea breezes.
