A maximum wind gust of 59 MPH was observed at the RAWS station, GDBT2, The Bowl.
Wider weather episode
An approaching upper-level speed maximum rounding the base of a broad trough in the western United States caused sporadic high winds across the higher elevations of West Texas and Southeast New Mexico. A few dry microbursts were also observed in association with this feature.
