A peak wind gust of 35 knots was observed at Key West International Airport.

A rapid increase in tropical moisture depth transporting northward along the southwest flank of a large lower tropospheric Northwestern Atlantic Ridge resulted a training convective cells across the Lower Florida Keys from Key West through Sugarloaf Key. Gale-force wind gusts occurred as the result of thunderstorm outflows projecting northwest across the coastal waters.
