Large surf of 10 to 15 feet created strong currents, beach runup, and hazardous conditions for channels.

The wider storm

A large north swell brought twenty to twenty six foot waves to north facing shores and ten to fifteen foot waves to east facing shores. These waves brought dangerous conditions to affected shorelines as well as beach runup.
