Multiple rounds of precipitation moved across eastern New York on March 29-30, 2025. A wedge of cold air near the surface led to rounds of freezing rain primarily across the Adirondacks and Upper Hudson Valley. Flat ice accumulations in excess of 0.50 inches occurred in parts of the area resulting in high accretion on trees and power lines. Some trees and wires were downed resulting in some power outages.
