A thirty foot metal flag pole was snapped in half. The report came in via Facebook. The time was estimated based on radar data.

Wider weather episode

Scattered showers and thunderstorms moved along a stationary boundary through the Coastal Plain counties of Eastern NC during the late afternoon into early evening. Several storms became severe and produced large hail, damaging wind, and an isolated tornado.
