Event narrative

The Marina mesonet station recorded a wind gust of 68 mph as a result of outflow winds associated with a nearby cluster of showers and thunderstorms moving through the area.

Wider weather episode

Mid level height falls ahead of an approaching trough resulted in the development of scattered convection throughout the day. Given dry low levels and a well mixed boundary layer, DCAPE values were high, and numerous dry to mostly dry microbursts were observed across Utah.
