Multiple reports of hail covering the ground to a depth of a couple of inches in and around Sneads Ferry. Hail size ranged from dime size to quarter size. The reports were relayed via social media.

Surface low pressure over the Coastal Plain gradually tracked northeastwards through the evening. The low brought a few showers and thunderstorms with its passage with one particular storm becoming severe and producing large hail in the evening.
