Severe to extreme drought conditions, D2-D3, continued through the month of April over much of western into parts of central North Dakota. A few changes did occur during the month. In early April, Grant County improved from D2 (severe drought) to D1 (moderate drought), and D2 conditions spread through most of Mercer County. In late April Williams, Divide, Burke, and Renville Counties improved from D2 to D1.
