Event narrative

The month started with the entire zone in Extreme(D3) drought and by the end of the month the northern half of the zone was placed in Exceptional(D4) drought. The Cooperative Observer at Antelope Wells received no precipitation which was 0.15 inches below normal.

Wider weather episode

Another very dry month across southern New Mexico pushed at least Extreme(D3) drought conditions through the region.
