A 62 mph wind gust was measured by a handheld anemometer in Jacksboro. The town of Jacksboro was without power for over an hour at the time of the report.

A pair of strong shortwave troughs moved from the Desert Southwest into the Plains Wednesday through Friday (March 12-14), generating isolated severe thunderstorms, strong non-thunderstorm winds and critical fire weather conditions across the region. A High Wind Warning was issued on March 14th for the northeastern half of the region.
