Flooding was reported from mPING in Tidewater. The report stated river/creek overflowing; cropland/yard/basement flooding.

Wider weather episode

A deep trough over the Midwest and surface low near the Great Lakes brought a robust cold front into the Mid Atlantic region. A strongly-forced area of linear convection moved from west to east across portions of central into eastern Virginia. This resulted in locally heavy rain with isolated instances of flooding.
