The C-MAN station at Rincon del San Jose recorded a wind gust of 34. knots, with winds above gale force continuing for perhaps up to six minutes, from developing thunderstorms early on March 27th.

A strong upper level disturbance combined with a stationary front to produce periods of strong to severe thunderstorms on land that pushed across the Lower Texas Gulf and Laguna Madre waters during the morning of March 27th and again during the late evening of the same day and post-midnight hours of the 28th.
