Winter Storm in Western Essex, New York

Snowfall totals across the area were 2 to 5 inches combined with ice accumulations of around 1/2 inch flat ice.

A weak wave of low pressure developed and traveled along a stationary front draped across northern NY and VT during the evening of March 28th and continuing into the 29th. Snowfall amounts ranged from several inches across southern portions of northern NY to a half foot or more in the northern sections along the Canadian border. Meanwhile across the southern tier there was mixed winter precipitation, including freezing rain and icing that accumulated upwards of an half inch in some locations. Power outages across northern NY were around 5000.
