A warm, somewhat humid air mass preceded the passage of a cold front and upper level disturbance that led to the development of scattered thunderstorms during the afternoon and evening hours on April 29th across eastern New York. A few of these storms became severe, resulting in reports of tree and wire damage primarily in Herkimer and Hamilton counties.
