Various co-op and mesonet stations in the area, including E1881 and D9612, as well as CPC sites, all recorded sub-freezing temperatures the morning of the 17th, primarily during a 2-hour period between 5:30am and 7:30am PDT.

Wider weather episode

On the morning of April 17th, northerly flow over the Pacific Northwest allowed for temperatures to drop below freezing for much of the lowlands of the forecast area.
