The Ellensburg Airport ASOS, as well as several co-op stations in the area, recorded sub-freezing temperatures through much of the overnight hours through the early morning of 4/23.

Wider weather episode

Dry and cool northwesterly flow aloft, followed by a high pressure ridge, allowed for a calm and clear night across the forecast area, leading to early morning temperatures at or below freezing.
