A thunderstorm produced half inch to quarter size hail southeast of Concan. Hail dented some car hoods.
Wider weather episode
An upper-level shortwave trough moved over a surface frontal boundary and generated enough lift to produce thunderstorms. Some of these storms produced large hail.
