A wind gust of 65 knots (75 MPH) was measured by the AWOS at Orange County Airport (KOMH).

Isolated severe thunderstorms produced localized damaging wind gusts during the mid to late afternoon and early evening hours across eastern West Virginia and north-central Virginia. One storm produced considerable wind damage over a small portion of the north-central Virginia piedmont.
