The NWS storm survey indicated the long lived tornado that moved across Jefferson County moved into Sabine Lake. Radar and satellite imagery indicated the tornado crossed the lake and moved into the Sabine Refuge which is not populated and hard to access along the lake shore.

The long lived tornado that formed south of Houston moved across Jefferson County, Sabine Lake, and into Cameron Parish.
