Winds gusted over 50 knots for 22 minutes with a peak gust to 68 knots at 1752 CST as a dust storm moved across southern Lake Michigan.

A dust storm moved north across southern Lake Michigan during the evening of May 16th producing high winds and low visibility. Wind gusts to 78 mph were measured at the Harrison Dever Crib and to 51 mph at Michigan City.
