Mesonet station 3251 D4 - Hansen Bridge recorded a wind gust of 79 MPH as a thunderstorm passed over.

Wider weather episode

On May 11th, afternoon instability increased across southwest Idaho as an upper-level trough moved over the region. This allowed for thunderstorms to develop in the early afternoon. The boundary layer was dry with an inverted-V sounding observed.
