Event narrative

The Cacapon River near Great Cacapon river gauge reached minor flood stage with a peak crest of 14.1 feet. At 9 feet, Rock Ford Road begins to flood in multiple locations, including flowing completely over the low water bridge. Constant Run Road and a small portion of Kilgore Road also begin to flood. At 11 feet, Kilgore Road is flooded in multiple spots. At 12 feet, Running Waters Way begins to flood.

Wider weather episode

A slow moving closed upper level low originating from the Gulf of America brought anomalous moisture into the area bringing localized heavy rain and a long duration moderate rain event.
