Wind gust was recorded on the Ocracoke - XOCR WeatherFlow site as thunderstorms were moving through.

Wider weather episode

A weak warm front and surface trough lifted north across the coastal waters of Eastern North Carolina. As this occurred, scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms developed and lifted north along the aforementioned warm front with a few of these storms becoming strong to severe in nature. The strongest storms brought damaging wind gusts to portions of the coastal waters near Cape Lookout and along the Coastal waters near Nags Head NC.
