Multiple power outages were reported across Southern Onslow County by Jones Onslow EMC. The reported time of the outages coincided with the wind signature on radar.

The wider storm

A shortwave trough swung through Eastern NC during the afternoon hours. A batch of showers and thunderstorms moved quickly northeastward, with one particular storm becoming severe and producing wind damage along the coast.
