Power lines were blown down across the roadway along NC Hwy 101 near Eastmans Creek. Trees were also blown down in the vicinity. The report was relayed via Facebook, with the time estimated based on radar data.

Wider weather episode

A shortwave trough and stalled frontal boundary combined to produce numerous heavy showers and thunderstorms. One particular band of thunderstorms became severe and produced wind damage along the coastal counties.
