Report came in via a personal weather station along Core Banks as thunderstorms were moving through the area. Station is called AV211 Beaufort and came in via WeatherFlow.

The wider storm

A warm front lifted north across the waters of Eastern North Carolina bringing scattered showers and thunderstorms to the Coastal waters of North Carolina on the evening of the twenty-ninth. A few isolated thunderstorms became strong to severe in nature bringing strong and damaging winds to the Coastal waters of the Crystal Coast up to Cape Hatteras.

Began near Harkers Island (34.7594, -76.4075).
