Report occurred as thunderstorms were moving through the area.

Wider weather episode

A warm front lifted north across the waters of Eastern North Carolina bringing scattered showers and thunderstorms to the Coastal waters of North Carolina on the evening of the twenty-ninth. A few isolated thunderstorms became strong to severe in nature bringing strong and damaging winds to the Coastal waters of the Crystal Coast up to Cape Hatteras.
