Wind gust occurred on a personal weather station as thunderstorms were moving through the area. Report came in via WeatherFlow.

Wider weather episode

A cold front tracked east across Eastern North Carolina and pushed off the coast on the evening of the Thirtieth. Out ahead and along this front isolated to widely scattered showers and thunderstorms developed with a few of these storms becoming strong to severe in nature. Strong and damaging wind gusts were the primary hazard within the strongest storms which primarily impacted the Crystal Coast Coastal Waters.
