A cold front draped across the region became the focus for an area of widespread synoptic snowfall that developed early in the day on the 3rd. Snowfall totals generally ranged from 4-6 inches, with highest totals largely along the M-72 corridor, though totals as high as 9 inches ranged as far north as Lewiston.
