Event narrative

Severe thunderstorm winds downed a large tree which blocked the intersection of Fremont Road and Highway 56 in Coalmont. Damages are a rough estimate.

Wider weather episode

A decaying line of thunderstorms moved through southern Middle Tennessee during the afternoon of June 7, 2025. This line of thunderstorms was generally non-severe, however, as it neared the Cumberland Plateau, it did produce damaging winds. Several reports of downed trees were received across Bedford, Coffee, and Grundy counties.
