Crater Lake National Park reported 12 inches of snow on 1/31, while the National Gridded Snowfall Analysis indicated partial storm totals of 6 to 15 inches by the end of the day. Precipitation amounts in the zone included 1.55 inches at Clearwater, 1.05 inches at Mt. Stella, and 1.28 inches at Elbow Butte.

Wider weather episode

A cold front moving southeast out of the Gulf of Alaska brought heavy snow to elevations above 5000 feet in the southern Oregon Cascades.
