Wind gust was measured at the Fort Macon XMAC station as thunderstorms were moving through the area. Report came in via WeatherFlow.

Wider weather episode

A frontal boundary stalled across the Piedmont of North Carolina. Along and out ahead of this stalled boundary a mesoscale convective complex developed during the early morning hours of the 10th and raced east impacted the coastal waters along the Crystal Coast. A few of these storms became strong to severe in nature bringing strong and damaging wind gusts.
