Wind gust was recorded on a personal weather station along North Topsail Beach as thunderstorms moved through the area. Report came in via WeatherFlow.

Wider weather episode

A frontal boundary stalled across the Piedmont of North Carolina. Along and out ahead of this stalled boundary a mesoscale convective complex developed during the morning hours of the 10th in South Carolina and raced east-northeastward impacted the coastal waters along the Crystal Coast. A few of these storms became strong to severe in nature bringing strong and damaging wind gusts.
