These storms moved northeast across east central and southeast NM during the afternoon and evening hours bringing strong outflow wind gusts of up to 67 mph at the Roswell Air Center, large hail to trained spotters in western De Baca and northeast Roosevelt County, and a 70 mph wind gust to the mesonet station at Melrose Range. Additionally, nearby thunderstorms brought a 68 mph wind gust to Raton Crews Airport. Storms exited into West Texas just after sunset.
