A water rescue operation occurred in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of Davenport on April 7. First responders were called to Davenport Landing at 2:17 PM as four people were in the water and struggling to return to shore. Three rescue swimmers from Cal Fire and two from California State Parks jumped in and brought all four people to shore unharmed.

A water rescue operation occurred in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of Davenport on April 7. First responders were called to Davenport Landing at 2:17 PM as four people were in the water and struggling to return to shore. Three rescue swimmers from Cal Fire and two from California State Parks jumped in and brought all four people to shore unharmed. At the time of the report, observations from a Saildrone off Half Moon Bay and the Point Reyes buoy reported waves around 10 feet and a dominant period of 13 to 14 seconds. Data from the Point Reyes buoy suggests that a 9 foot west-northwest swell at 13 seconds dominated the wave spectrum.
