Numerous social media images showing hail damage throughout the community of Loco due to wind-driven hailfall. This included numerous car and house windows cracked or broken and siding damage to multiple structures. Event time is estimated from radar observations.

Wider weather episode

An intense thunderstorm moved from western-north Texas into southern and east-central Oklahoma during the early hours of the 5th. While the boundary layer was relatively stable during this time, due to a significant warm layer centered around 700 millibars/1 km, widespread and intense damaging winds were observed with this thunderstorm. Reports of large hail, and associated damage due to wind-driven hail, were also received.
