A man was swept away and killed by swift moving flood waters while on an ATV checking his fields. Time of occurrence is estimated from various media reports and when the call to local emergency officials was placed.
High water rescue due to heavy rain. One foot of water was over US 81 in central part of Duncan. According to police reports, an 8 year old boy (whose body was found 14 days later) tried to cross a bridge at highway 81 and Oak when he went down 10 to 12 feet into rushing water.
