An eastward moving cold front led to a line of showers and embedded storms tracking east in the early morning hours of the 4th of May. An isolated storm became tornadic in Johnston County. Additional isolated storms developed along the stalled front during the evening hours, producing some quarter inch hail in Cumberland County.
