Trees down and power outages were reported on the southeast side of Oxford.

A weak surface front was along the eastern edge of central North Carolina. Showers developed over the eastern Piedmont in the morning hours and progressed east into the Triangle and Coastal Plain by the late afternoon and early evening. Several damaging wind and hail reports were observed.
