Wind gust was measured on a personal weather station as thunderstorms moved through the area. Report came in via WeatherFlow.

Wider weather episode

A stalled frontal boundary located in Virginia, dove southeastwards as a cold front during the evening of June 15th into northern North Carolina. As this occurred, a line of showers and thunderstorms developed out ahead of the front in Virginia and pushed offshore during the evening of June 15th. A few isolated storms became strong in nature bringing strong and damaging wind gusts to the northern coastal waters and the Croatan and Roanoke Sounds.
