Scattered showers and thunderstorms developed along a stationary front and area of low pressure April 7 and 8. This activity brought gusty winds to the Chesapeake Bay, Rivers, Atlantic Coastal Waters, and Currituck Sound from the afternoon hours April 7 into the early morning hours of April 8.
