A large tree was blown down in front of a house on Poplar Springs Drive between 23rd and 24th Street.
Wider weather episode
A line of severe storms pushed across the region and produced damaging wind gusts that downed trees and power lines, and damaged several structures. Ahead of the storms, strong gradient winds also produced damage to a similar degree. One such incident resulted in a fatality in Vicksburg where a woman succumbed to an injury after she was struck by a large tree limb.
