Trees were reported down along and across Highway 61 between Ionas Beach and East Beaver Bay along with trees down in Silver Bay.

The wider storm

An area of low pressure in western Minnesota brought severe storms to the Northland the afternoon and evening of the 15th. Most of the damage was to trees across the region with some areas of enhanced tree damage occurring along the North Shore in the Tofte area.

Began near East Beaver Bay (47.2700, -91.2900).
